“Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is within themselves.” – [Ar-Rad 13:11]
One of the best ways one can exercise his true faith is by means of forgiving, forgetting and forgoing all those that caused him evil – if eventually he knows them. He can create that forgiveness in heart if he knows them not and live on with his true life. You at this state of fasting needs closeness to Allah and mind you Allah won’t welcome your hatred towards others. So you will have to meet HIM with clear and hate-free heart.
One thing I have realised about faiths is that most adherents are only pretenders of their faiths. We pretend to be godly, religious and pious but dreadful at heart. We forget that, not man but God needs to be pleased. Have you forgotten that Allah is watching you clearly, do you think He will be satisfied. Ask yourself, ‘will Allah be satisfied with my acts?’ or ‘is Allah satisfied with me?’.
Allah is Sufficient for man. Raise your hands and put your trust in Him. Forget your offenders, those that you have concluded on never to be forgiven, that you pray should never succeed as far as you live, those ones that you feel slandering them is justified because they have once caused your deprivations and failures, those that you think are nothing but a trash just because they have hurt you. He Himself promised the trangressors to be forgiven once they discover themselves and harken to Him. The Holy Prophet (saw) enjoined us to forgive when we have the power to punish, and that will show the level of our piousness.
You can not be in this state of mind and pray to Allah and expect fulfilment of prayers. Your prayers might be accepted but not until you clear your mind towards others will you see the manifestation. Learn to forgive and forget, curb all form of enmity. Take everything simple, especially life, once you die, there will be another night and day, rain will fall, sun will shine, moon will become visible at nights and millions of people shall continue with life, while you are no where to be found.
Let this month of Ramadan cause you reformed. Be humble and receptive at heart, and your pretence to be curbed. You can never deceive Allah but yourself. I pray Allah forgive us and cause us reformed as true adherents of Islam – aamin.
