“There has come to you Ramadan, a blessed month which Allah has enjoined you to fast, during which the gates of heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed, and the rebellious devils are chained up. In it there is a night which is better than a thousand months, and whoever is deprived of its goodness is indeed deprived – [Hadith, al-Nasa’i]
You are pretty much aware of the said bounties which are concomitants to the month of Ramadan, we have hammered the fact that it is the most blessed month in the sight of Allah. It will not be funny if you miss any of these bounties. It will be that, you have wasted your time without eating and drinking as at when due.
There have been numerous ways with which we’ve been enjoined to tap these bounties from God Almighty. But here comes the most scintillating way to observe this Holy Month and see its blessings as expected of you. Not only will you be restrained for worldly affairs but become closer to God. The scintillating way is by the I’tikaf, now around the corner, and just two days to go. This has been practiceof the Prophet, such that makes one stay in a mosque for a certain number of days, devoting oneself to ibadah during these days and staying away from worldly affairs. The literal meaning of the word suggests sticking and adhering to, or being regular in something, this ‘something’ often includes performing nafl prayers, reciting the Qur’an , and reading ahadith.
Making use of the concluding part of the month of Ramadan, you should have a checklist that contains what you can do to your advantage.
…to be continued, in shaa Allah.
