All of a human beings words count against him and not for him, except commanding the right and forbidding the wrong, and with the mention of Allah

All of a human beings words count against him and not for him, except commanding the right and forbidding the wrong, and with the mention of Allah – Hadith Tirmidhi
______

One vital measure a man needs to take care of is his utterance, the way he speaks, the way he suggests and the way he contributes to issues. These has to do with his thinking faculty; if he won’t take care and talk harshly where he supposed to stay cool or he remain silent where he needs to talk, all will sum up to charging emerging issues against himself.

To be saved from these likely emerging issues and unbearable, one needs to measure his utterances with how Allah enjoins us. If not, he talks and talks against himself. We are aware of the police custom when there is a warrant to arrest a criminal, the police will tell the criminal to mind his speech as it can be used against him in law court. That shows how important it is to mind what we have to say. Many have fall victim of offences they themselves did not commit but because of his blabs and foul talks around, you will be left to ascertain that he is the one behind the particular happenings.

Allah (swt) has enjoined us in his Holy Book to hold unto what is Toyyiban, (pure). This act will check the activities of a true believer, guide his ways and not excluding the way he talks.

It is noted however that the Holy Prophet (saw) said human words or utterances that does not command the words of God or uttered to forbid bad acts will only go against such one found in that shoe. Vague talks; slandering and backbiting etc are evidently among the greatest sins in the sight of Allah, apart from associating partner with Him and being arrogant on earth and the likes.

We have to check ourselves and use this month of abundant blessings to fasten ourselves to the guidance of Allah. May Allah guide us to His guidance – aamin.
