Ninth Month Oculus Diary – Day Twenty-Six

And We shall set up accurate scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection, so that no soul will be wronged in aught. And even if it be the weight of a grain of mustard seed, We would bring it forth. And sufficient are We as reckoners – [Al-Anbiya 21:48]
One of the factors that make one a good believer is to take cognisance of the fates of the hereafter. Evidently, one of the articles of faith is to believe the fact that there shall be Judgment Day. Then what do you have in stock to be called to account on, on that very day? The day that everyone will be left to bear his or her crosses and won’t be responsible for anyone.

We need to maintain our faith, faith itself is life. Just like culture, it is one’s way of life. A man is in total darkness without faith, while a man in faith needs to check himself. A life without faith is mean, one without faith is outside the boundaries set by Allah, and the one who is accursed.

This month of Ramadan, from your end should testify to the fact that Allah alone is due to be worshipped. Purify your heart from anxieties and worries. What Allah has with Him in terms of bounties and rewards is better, greater, and ever lasting. Your trust and adherence in Him will factor the manifestation of the these bounties and rewards.

There can be no true meaning to life when one has no faith. One will be happy and at peace according to the level of his faith. Having firm faith is the very best option of life one could acquire. It will guide one’s act of worship and regulate his or her acts that he will be questioned on, on the day.

Faith in Islam means to submit to Allah, not despite a lack of evidence, but rather because the proofs of Allah is overwhelming. True faith must be shown in heart with sincerity, affirm by the tongue and seen by actions. We should strive to have complete faith to decide our fate on the day of resurrection.

It however should be noted that righteous deeds are not the reason Allah would allow people to Paradise, no amount of good deeds we exercise certify us to deserve paradise if not by His mercy. Jabir reported: The messenger of Allah, peace and blessings upon him, said: None of you will enter Paradise because of his good deeds alone. None would be rescued from Hellfire, not even myself, except for the mercy of Allah. -Sahih Muslim 2817.

Success is granted by Allah and He knows best. I pray we inherit the best of His mercies-aamin.
