Our Lord! Grant us good in this world and good in the hereafter, and save us from the chastisement of the fire – [Al-Quran, 2:201]
The favour of this world and the one to come is granted by Allah, no doubt. He has said that no one will be granted entry to heaven except by His grace. This does not mean that Allah is strict in His benevolence, certainly those that exercise true faith will make it to heaven. It is just the favour of Allah that submitted their souls to His Will. Those that go against submitting to His will are those that deny His Godliness, that go against His supremacy and attribute another entity as god to Him when they are sane and informed. This favour has left them and they dwell in manifest error. They are spiritually blind, deaf and dumb which no man can heal except Allah grant them that favour.
This has to do with one’s conduct too, man chooses for himself whether good or bad, to make heaven or hell. He lives an unconcerned life and looses the spirituality in him. Man himself in question, he is made of three stages, the first stage; the soul that incites evil, the second stage; soul that reproves itself and the third stage is the soul at rest. These stages have to do with one’s physical, moral and spiritual states. The best, one should work towards achieving is the third stage. “This is the stage when the soul of a person being delivered from all weaknesses is filled with spiritual powers and establishes a relationship with God Almighty without Whose support it cannot exist. As water flowing down from a height, on account of its volume and the absence of any obstruction, rushes with great force, in the same way the soul at rest flows towards God. That is indicated by the divine direction to the soul that has found comfort in God to return to its Lord. It undergoes a great transformation in this very life and is bestowed a paradise while still in this world [Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad a.s]
One needs to develop himself to standard and earn the favour of Allah in manifolds. He should pray for His favour in this life and hereafter and chastisement of hell fire. May Allah grant us our request – amin.
